What is Bill checking?
As consumers, we know the importance of checking our utility bills. It’s even more important for businesses where the figures – and the potential for errors – are much greater.
But this is not always a straightforward task for business users. You may have more than one meter, the numbers – in both consumption and cost – will be a lot larger than you’re used to, and the tariffs may be more complex.

At Eneco our bill checking service is free of charge. We continually monitor your bills, quickly identify any overcharges and ensure you are reimbursed promptly.
The service starts once we’ve sourced your new supplier. At the commencement of the contract, we will make sure that each site or meter is picked up and that there is no default tariff being applied by previous suppliers. Then, throughout your contract with the supplier we will:
- Verify that your bills match the terms agreed in your contract.
- Confirm that the correct meters are being billed.
- Check for errors in your meter readings.
- Ensure that all billing factors have been applied correctly and accurately.
